To join a side project, we are looking for C++ and PHP/MySQL developers.
PrerequisitesYou'll need to have a basic C++ knowledge of functions, recursion, classes, and inheritance. Ideally, you must use the Standard or Professional edition of Visual Studio; Visual Studio Express cannot be used, because it does not come with MFC.
You'll need advance MySQL knowledge and clustering experience with PHP background as a core developer. If you are student, you may be able to get the Professional Version of Visual Studio for FREE from Microsoft DreamSpark. If you are not a student, and you do not have the full version of Visual Studio, can work through this tutorial using a trial version of Visual Studio.

Some large backups are taking place overnight, should not affect this site but for the sister site hosting service. Should be completed early morning.

Looks too realistic like a film. Soon we will be using suits with sensors playing modern warfare.
-
Looking at the graphics, it must use a lot of GPU power.

Looks good... and real?

Hi,
Thanks for dropping by. We normally allow reserved slots for regular players and supporters. Servers can get busy in weekends. How many are there in your clan? Why not create a group for your clan here http://www.epicdot.com/index.php/groups/ or the existing BC2 group http://www.epicdot.com/index.php/groups/6-nexus-bc2/ or both

Our new XMPP service will be released this weekend. Based on an open source platform, it can connect to multiple gateways. All xmpp clients can connect to the server. Long term SIP telephony will also be incorporated. This service will replace our old TeamSpeak server.

Gallery added. Some tweaks still to do. At the moment no compression done on the images uploaded. What to do with it? Anything goes. Create an album and upload your snapshots games, private or life in general. You choose.

The system will at some point be revamped with an online form to cover all servers. Not the highest priority (due to other commitments). In the interim please post in the forum or use this form. Note that players who harass and/ or bully others - are likely to be banned. The use of TeamSpeak etc. allowed.

Oh, sorry then. Orleans SQDM. That's where I mostly see them. They might be playing on Rush server too though. Thanks for the reply.
Cheers.
No problem. Will keep an eye when possible. Appreciate you came and posted.

Shoutbox fixed. Moved from cache to database. For some reason my chrome on pc was slow so I thought the site was slow, realised later both tablet and phone loaded the forum fairly quick. Doh my pc needs to be updated.

About Us
There have been a number of 'About Us' pages on different forums and pages. This page will be updated so do come back to check for updates. We often hear this which is just a copy and paste from the net:
Today we started debating of IF a Clan and a Community differ. I say they DO differ but many people keep saying they are the same thing. For me, a Community gives its members a variety of servers/games to play on. And a Clan is specified to one game, or a game type. Also skill plays a bigger role if your in a Clan other than a community.
|ED| or EpicDot.com is not a Gaming Clan but a Community. At best, casual gamers who dont really have the time for gaming - but a good 30min chill for the brain to rest. As a Community member, you are likely to be a member of several clans etc whereas a gaming clan tend to restrict to one or two. We are casual gamers aka a blast after work or 30min over the weekend. Obviously, some are more skilled and also play more.
We dont care if we have 5 or 50 servers, 10 or 100 players. This motto is more for a gaming clan. We support the casual gamer and have in the past sponsored individual clans.
If you are after some hardcore support and gaming, join a gaming clan. If you would like to hang out with people not just 'gamers' - add our site on to your visits! A gaming clan is also more active (usually) and online a lot more. However, as a Community we have the flexibility not found elsewhere. We have also been around for a while.
Our Community now support social groups whereby Clans can create their mini community within the |ED| Community - Clever Stuff!
Our tag |ED| can be used by all who are a registered member of the forum. Most of our servers are 'stock' configured.
Our RCON/ Admin and DEV application forms will be online later this year. It will support your application if you have been part of the Community for a while/ active before applying. In the meantime, use this contact form.

Forum appears lots quicker. Better stop messing around. I am not a Linux geek so I will probably crash the server instead think speed is acceptable. Gallery, downloads etc as above will return later this year. Not a need to prioritise right now. If it gets slow again, do let us know.
