Just stopping to say hello. I like the new fourm look. Hope everybody is doing well. I check the site from time to time but decided to post this time

I can never quit gaming. Still more fond of pc gaming than xbox or PlayStation. Got a switch for daughter a while back but personally never got into it. I now only buy through Steam, all games centralised and I can use on multiple devices. Macs supported in a limited way too. Never have time to seriously sit down and play but one day I will have more time. I loved the battlefield series but nothing since then really come across as being great. Last 12 month's been more on mobile gaming. Hardly or don't play clash of clans anymore but Lords Mobile still very active. My guild there is EDP in Kingdom 210. Have invested a fair amount but gives me what I need; a blast and a break. The idea with the site revamp was to bridge different platforms including mobile. All players need a break right? Having a neutral place to meet up for 5min could be the thing. However, as with everything. Needs to be maintained and too busy at the moment lol. I will revisit project in autumn ready for winter. Enjoying nice summer days at the moment in the middle of all work stress

At this point no FPS game is worth buying/playing for me. So I'm back to what I like to play most , strategy games (rts or turn based) mostly on weekends with a friend

About Us There have been a number of 'About Us' pages on different forums and pages. This page will be updated so do come back to check for updates. We often hear this which is just a copy and paste from the net: Today we started debating of IF a Clan and a Community differ. I say they DO differ but many people keep saying they are the same thing. For me, a Community gives its members a variety of servers/games to play on. And a Clan is specified to one game, or a game type. Also skill plays a bigger role if your in a Clan other than a community. |ED| or EpicDot.com is not a Gaming Clan but a Community. At best, casual gamers who dont really have the time for gaming - but a good 30min chill for the brain to rest. As a Community member, you are likely to be a member of several clans etc whereas a gaming clan tend to restrict to one or two. We are casual gamers aka a blast after work or 30min over the weekend. Obviously, some are more skilled and also play more. We dont care if we have 5 or 50 servers, 10 or 100 players. This motto is more for a gaming clan. We support the casual gamer and have in the past sponsored individual clans. If you are after some hardcore support and gaming, join a gaming clan. If you would like to hang out with people not just 'gamers' - add our site on to your visits! A gaming clan is also more active (usually) and online a lot more. However, as a Community we have the flexibility not found elsewhere. We have also been around for a while. Our Community now support social groups whereby Clans can create their mini community within the |ED| Community - Clever Stuff! There would be no point lol .. ex-aiw staff send crash packets to alterrev servers, which crash them constantly.

aIW2 or IW4M2 is the update for 3 Single player maps to be merged into mulitplayer as new maps, it is separate from the normal multiplayer (IW4M1) because some people might not like it as there is some bugs with in it. Many are having probs with mw2 alterIWnet crashing after approx 1 hour.Here is what i did to fix mine. First download the steam_api.dll http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?steam_api Once downloaded goto your installation directory C:/programfiles(x86)/activision/modernwarfare2 and copy and replace the the steam_api.dll with the one you have downloaded. Now delete the bootstrap folder and the cache XML document(DO NOT DELETE THE CACHE FOLDER, MAKE SURE ITS THE XML DOCUMENT THAT YOU DELETE). Now join a server from the server list in the game(not from the ED server connection tool) and get 1 kill or be killed(up to you ). All being well everything should be fine and you can now play without game crashes and use the ED connection tool. http://www.epicdot.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=13 If you still experience crashes then set your in game graphics settings to auto(only change the screen resolution nothing else). Anyone still playing Battlefield 2? Pretty primitive by today's standard but still.

We have added a RUSH server (24 slots), note that it will be closed if not used over the next month or so. The game play is great and we should try to keep it. We are also looking into the new BF3 with 64 slots... well at least 32 hehe. Just so that you get an idea what the providers will have to cope with. The new BF3 uses twice as much CPU power as the BC2 game from the server side of things. A 64 slots setup is fairly expensive but we will see.

Hey guys. Lately I remembered that thread whoops posted about no more admins being added for some reason. Well, I'd like to say that you need more admins because the more servers you have then more people play on them and 40% of them might hack so you need a bigger amount of admins imo to make sure that everything is quite and normal. plus admins for various countries would be nice since most of us and most players are from different time zones. so if for example there are 10 admins and 5 of them are from the UK and the other 5 from different parts of Europe that would not be nice. Also, as some may know Whoops removed me for clear bullshit, and I dont even know why to be honest thats why im saying its bullshit in the first place, and i would like to say to Whoops that : first off i wouldnt say this if you didnt ignore my messages you hypocrite second thing is that i want, no demand to know, why i was removed and when i can apply again

Hiya, most people playing in #4 server are getting sick of Reflective FF. So I decided to make a poll with the spirit of MW2 poll. In such a large pop server its beyond easy after all to kill yourself with airstrikes, nades, tubes, blocks, etc.

Was meant to install (fresh install) of COD4 on this laptop, I know it has played it before not great but playable. I could not find the ISO and I did not get the chance to find and then install all the patches. Does anyone know, if you copy a working COD4 folder with all the patches installed. Will it work to just run the executable? Going to take ages to install from iso again and add all the patches.

About an hour ago now, I was playing on "EpicDot.com #8 SEARCH AND DESTROY." There was a clan with no skill whatsoever (called [s0] ) abusing the fact that the spectate mode is set to free. They 'cheated' by telling each other the locations of the enemy team whenever they died. IMO, the way to resolve this is just to set the spectator mode to team-only, so that people can only spec their team when they're dead. BTW, if this thread is in the wrong forum, move it to where it's supposed to be. >_>

Hello, I have reinstalled CoD4 so that it became version 1.0.525 Now when i try to enter EpicDot servers, It still says "Server is different : 1.0" even though my cod4 version is 1.0.525 What causes that and how to fix it, please? i can do anything to fix it i really want to play in EpicDot servers, many thanks!

Why? I actually forgot, I copied server #3's config and since I had to rush everything this minor setting was overlooked. But it may not be a bad idea after all. In the past people have moaned about nades, martyr and what. As you know majority of players dont like big custom changes but bog standard gameplay, we have tried to customise the server in the past - players did not like it and started to loose interest. Friendly Fire REFLECT can be good and useful, very often it will force the player to think twice before a random nade is used or an airstrike with some random strike hoping for easy kills. Although some players will moan, most people did not seem to mind as the server was quickly populated and full with 32 slots for a good while. Also note that all our MW2 servers or most of them have FF on REFLECT and they are very busy and always full @ weekends - so it cant be that bad . Anyway, I will leave it on for a couple of weeks and we can then discuss then?

We have had this server before (COD4 custom maps server) and it worked for a short while for then going dead. To populate as server like this it takes time, and more people need to advertise/help out. I think it is doable if we start with 5 (of the best) maps with fast redirect download and also make the maps available via ftp, download sites and torrents. If we meet up on a regular basis for a game this will also encourage players. What do you think?
