Whoops Posted October 24, 2011 Report Share Posted October 24, 2011 2. Why does RANKED only support 18 slots and UNRANKED 24 slots? This is set by the developer and not something that we have control over, from our understanding the goal is to ensure that ranked was sized in such a way where the resulting stats are balanced and consistent. It has less to do about how well a server can handle it. As for the max slot count of 24 for unranked, it was decided to loosen upper slot limit a bit since it is not globally ranked. I for sure only look at the ranked servers to join! Pretty much everyone join RANKED to get everything unlocked as krabs said. Not a lot of people join BO just "to play" , all of them are there for unlocks and gold camo - ( I'm there for more class slots ). So I dont think that it would do any good , better choice would probably be a second RANKED server. UNRANKED could be good idea , for clan to play their clan wars there or bunch of friends getting it for sh.ts and giggles to have their place to play on.
